Our History
Into the West: Where History Meets Luxury
The journey begins with the McDonald family, who took ownership of the remarkable building in 2016. Nestled in the heart of Fort Worth, this historic gem has a tale to tell. Dating back to 1904, this building had a dual life - it served as a reputable bank downstairs, while the upstairs held the intriguing history of a bustling brothel.
Legend has it that cowboys from the nearby stockyards would conduct their cattle business downstairs, then venture upstairs to revel in the vibrant atmosphere of the time. When the McDonald family acquired this piece of history, they embarked on an ambitious mission - to revive its past while embracing the future.
With the guidance of skilled historical contractors, they meticulously preserved the essence of this storied space. Every detail, from the exposed brick walls to the intricate architecture, windows, and door frames, is either an original piece of history or a faithful replica. As you step into our showroom, you'll find yourself transported back in time, immersed in the charm of a bygone era.
But our story doesn't stop there. Above Into the West, the McDonald family has breathed new life into the historic building by creating 'The Bordello.' This luxurious one-bedroom, one-bathroom Airbnb is a testament to the fusion of history and modern comfort. Furnished entirely by Into the West, it's a unique experience where guests can immerse themselves in the ambiance of the Old West while enjoying all the amenities of the present.
At Into the West, we are proud of our connection to Fort Worth's rich history and the opportunity to share it with you. Step inside, explore, and create your own memories in this beautifully preserved piece of the past.
